One Man's Choices
Workout: Thursday

I have had a pretty crappy day today. One of those day’s where everything you attempt runs into some lame setback that slows you down.

I was considering not hitting the gym at one point. Hell, I almost forgot my gym kit when I left the house today (yes I had to go back and get it). But I went… and I feel great now.

Here is what went down:

  • about an hour of boxing skills work. I was partnered up with a new guy and ended up kind of coaching him. This was pretty great. I used to do stuff like this when I did some martial arts stuff and had forgotten how much I enjoyed it.

  • about an hour of boxing circuit training.

I now notice that my upper body strength has improved and my flexibility (aka strength) is improving. Of course, for some reason the pull up bars have disappeared at the gym (think they are getting some new ones), so I escape the soul destroying reality of just how puny I really am.

But hey, let me enjoy the moment whilst I can.
